1. Texas A&M’s Instagram Account Reaches 150,000 Followers
Texas A&M University’s social media presence passed a major milestone this month, surpassing 150,000 followers on Instagram. Such a large following on the @TAMU account puts Texas A&M first in the nation among public U.S. universities on the platform and third for all U.S. universities, trailing only Harvard and Stanford. 2. UC Berkeley Prof, Hughes Institute Investigator Jennifer Doudna To Receive 2017 Cotton Medal
Dr. Jennifer A. Doudna, the Li Ka Shing Chancellor’s Chair in Biomedical and Health Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, is the 2017 recipient of the F.A. Cotton Medal for Excellence in Chemical Research named for one of the most honored faculty members in Texas A&M University history.
3. ‘Donations for Citations’ Raises Over 1,100 Pounds Of Food Donations
Texas A&M University Transportation Services held a “Donations for Citations” food drive event that offered community members the opportunity to donate food or personal care items in exchange for a credit of up to $30 towards their university parking citation.

Viz-a-GoGo, the 24th annual showcase of digital wizardry conjured by visualization students from the Texas A&M College of Architecture, will be staged May 3-6, 2017 in downtown Bryan.

Texas A&M University, in partnership with the Sexual Assault Resource Center of the Brazos Valley, will host a panel on sexual violence to generate awareness and provide information on how to support survivors of these incidents.
