Organizations across Texas A&M University are partnering with the university’s Step In Stand Up campaign to bring Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) programming and events to campus throughout April.

2. ‘Annihilation’ Author Jeff VanderMeer To Discuss Books’ Film Adaptation April 9

Cushing Memorial Library & Archives’ Halbert W. Hall Speakers Series on Science Fiction and Fantasy welcomes Annihilation writer Jeff VanderMeer. VanderMeer’s talk is titled “Annihilation Book to Film: Narrative Choices and Reader Interpretations” and will be presented in Rudder Theater on April 9 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

3. ‘Accidental Courtesy’ Star Daryl Davis To Discuss Race Relations April 10

The Texas A&M University Libraries Diversity Advancement Committee will host author, musician and activist Daryl Davis on Tuesday, April 10. Davis’s talk is titled “Klan We Talk” and will be presented in Evans Library Room 204E from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Texas A&M University has recognized five of its most outstanding faculty members with one of its highest honors: the title of University Distinguished Professor.

5. EnMed Obtains LCME Approval, Can Begin Recruiting Inaugural Class Of Students

Engineering Medicine (EnMed), Texas A&M University’s innovative engineering medicine track at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, is now included in the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation of the Texas A&M College of Medicine’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
