Praising its quick completion and noting that it will be a crown jewel of education in the area, state leaders officially inaugurated Texas A&M University’s Higher Education Center in McAllen and said the $40 million facility will offer new and exciting educational opportunities for the Rio Grande Valley.
2. Madeleine Albright To Discuss Bipartisanship And Foreign Policy At Texas A&M Nov. 6
Dr. Madeleine Albright, the 64th Secretary of State and the first woman to hold that position, will deliver a talk, “Bipartisanship and Foreign Policy,” Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. in the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center.
3. Health And Kinesiology Topics Presented At Hilliard Discussion 8 On Nov. 2
The Sydney and J.L. Huffines Institute for Sports Medicine and Human Performance in the Texas A&M University College of Education and Human Development will host the 8th Annual Hilliard Discussion, Friday, Nov. 2 from 1-4 p.m. in the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center at the George Bush Presidential Library Complex.
4. Provost’s Student Success Initiative Forum Nov. 5
The Texas A&M University community of students, faculty and staff are invited to attend an open forum to hear initial reports on the Provost’s Student Success Initiative Monday, Nov. 5 at noon in the Memorial Student Center in Room 2400. Registration is required.
5. Texas A&M To Honor 2 Deceased Students During Silver Taps Nov. 6
Silver Taps will be held at Texas A&M University Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 p.m. to honor the memory of two Aggies who died recently. Honored students will include Andrew Keith Kalinke, a sophomore political science major from Anna, Texas, and Sophie Pearl Rosenberg, a sophomore mechanical engineering major from Austin.
