Mays Business School launches Flex Online AI program for working professionals
A new suite of “mini programs” aims to equip leaders with immediately applicable skills related to artificial intelligence.
Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School is expanding its Flex Online portfolio by launching a new Flex Online AI and Business program, another step forward in the school’s drive to prepare professionals for a business world powered by AI.
This marks the first of a growing suite of Flex Online “mini programs” aimed to equip working professionals with refined business capabilities that they can immediately apply in the workforce. Participants can take individual courses or complete four courses in a mini-program concentration to earn a credential. “Our goal is to give students Monday-ready knowledge,” said Dr. Shrihari (Hari) Sridhar, senior associate dean at Mays Business School and course instructor. “The course curriculum will introduce new business concepts that they can implement the next day at work.”
The AI and Business courses explore future-focused concepts such as agentic AI, generative AI, business storytelling, machine learning, multimodal agents, and deep learning applications through lesson plans that require no prior experience in AI or programming knowledge. Optional content will demonstrate how the concepts can be applied through code.
“AI is reshaping the ways we live and work, and Mays Business School is at the forefront of preparing principled leaders to harness the power of AI to shape the future of business,” said Mays Business School Dean Dr. Nate Y. Sharp. “With the Flex Online AI and Business program, we’re able to extend that education beyond our current students to an even broader audience of former students and working professionals.”
Each eight-week course is delivered online in an asynchronous format designed to accommodate working professionals aiming to enhance their AI skill set. The coursework is designed with the same rigor and scope as a graduate-level business course in Mays Flex Online degree programs. Students can choose to take one at a time or take multiple concurrently to complete the program in as little as 16 weeks.
Enrollment will also give students access to one-hour master classes featuring prominent AI leaders from academia and industry. These live, virtual sessions provide participants with the opportunity to engage directly with distinguished experts, explore emerging ideas through real-time dialogue, and cultivate connections with peers as part of a dynamic and intellectually rich learning community.
Competitively priced, fees will be $3,000 per individual course or $10,000 for a four-course suite. Students can enroll three times a year: in the fall, spring or summer, with the first classes launching in spring 2026.
