Texas A&M leads charge against dementia with breakthrough research
Efforts unite scientists across disciplines to pioneer early detection, treatment and care solutions.
Researchers at Texas A&M University are racing to unravel dementia, because every minute, more families face its devastating impact. Texas A&M is at the forefront of the fight, thanks to cutting-edge research fueled by an unprecedented $3 billion investment from the Dementia Prevention Research Institute of Texas.
At the heart of this movement is the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Research Initiative (DARI) — a cross-disciplinary initiative launched last year with over $1.2 million in seed funding. Researchers from across campus are uniting to pioneer approaches in prevention, diagnosis and treatment, aiming to transform a landscape of heartbreak into one of hope.
Led by Texas A&M Health and the Texas A&M University Division of Research, DARI efforts assemble all five health science colleges — as well as additional labs and research groups across the university — in contributing expertise and innovation.
