More than 4,300 Aggies will receive Aggie Rings during Aggie Ring Day Sept. 27 at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center.

The volunteer delegation will visit offices of all 181 Texas legislators in Austin today.
Since the inception of the award in 1962, only 281 of Texas A&M’s 488,500 former students have been recognized with the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
The delegation met with elected officials in order to increase public and legislative support for higher education, particularly Texas A&M.
