'At Ease with General Mark A. Welsh III' offers conversations with members of the campus community to spotlight the heart of Aggieland.

General (Ret.) Mark A. Welsh III presented his vision for the university’s future and received the Presidential Medallion at an investiture ceremony attended by hundreds.

Peter Lange, most recently serving as the university’s interim chief operating officer, will assume the permanent role leading operations.

The two-day conference is open to students, staff, faculty and members of the community. 

A recent gathering on the topic of innovation was hosted by Halliburton.

The retired four-star general served as Bush School dean and as A&M's interim president.

Mark A. Welsh III detailed eight key priorities for moving ahead, saying success depends on the entire campus community.

Interim A&M President has served as Bush School dean, U.S. Air Force chief of staff.

Changes include elevating the role of the provost with a new title to identify it as the No. 2 position at the university.

Welsh will join the former student group to speak and present the Eminent Scholar Award to chemistry professor Dr. Sherry J. Yennello.
