The collie officially took over on Friday at the Corps of Cadets Final Review. Reveille IX will retire to the Stevenson Companion Animal Life-Care Center.

The beloved collie will be immortalized in a work of art outside Kyle Field near the resting place of all former Reveilles.

The soon-to-be Reveille X was donated to the university in a small ceremony Friday. The candidate will train alongside current mascot Reveille IX until her retirement in May.

Some may see her as just a dog, but Texas A&M’s first lady is so much more for Aggies – and for her Aggie veterinarian.
