Texas A&M Again Among Nation’s Best Graduate Schools, Per US News & World Report

Texas A&M School of Law’s meteoric rise continues as it enters the nation’s Top 25.

Graduate education at Texas A&M University is once again among the nation’s best, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School rankings, released today.

The university has over 40 programs in the Top 50 in business, education, engineering, law, public affairs, veterinary medicine and more.

Notably, Texas A&M School of Law has entered into the Top 25 — no law school has ever risen further or faster in the rankings. At No. 22, up four places from last year, the school is up 61 places since 2019.

In the Best Medical Schools category, U.S. News moved the College of Medicine from Tier 2 to Tier 1 in the primary care ranking; its overall ranking also moved up one tier from 3 to 2, making it one of the top public medical schools in the state.

Mays Business School also sits in the Top 25 with its management program, up three places from last round to No. 24. At the Bush School of Government and Public Service, programs in nonprofit management and public management and leadership rank at No. 21 nationally. And the College of Education and Human Development ranked at No. 16 for educational administration.

In the College of Engineering, programs in chemical, civil, computer, electrical, materials and mechanical are all ranked Top 25 in the nation. Programs in aerospace, agriculture, industrial and nuclear engineering are all Top 10, and petroleum ranks at No. 2 nationally.

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ overall ranking places it at No. 5 in the nation, first in the state and leading the Southeastern Conference (SEC). And in the College of Arts and Sciences, inorganic chemistry is the No. 5 program of its kind in the nation, No. 1 in Texas and the SEC.

Graduate students at Texas A&M have more than 290 programs to choose from, where they learn from faculty members who are respected experts in state-of the-art facilities, gaining practical experience in their chosen fields. Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate and Professional School Dr. Fuhui Tong noted the rankings are indicative of the great work being done across campus by graduate students and the faculty and staff who engage with them.
