1. Vietnam Pilot Campbell ’52 Identified, Will Be Buried At Arlington May 18
The remains of an Aggie Air Force pilot have been recovered and positively identified, 48 years after he was shot down during the Vietnam War. Col. William “Bill” Campbell ’52 will be interred in May at Arlington National Cemetery with his wife.
2. Texas A&M Honors Two Profs With Teaching Excellence Award
Dr. Tatiana Erukhimova, instructional associate professor in Texas A&M University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy in the College of Science, and Dr. Reuben A. Buford May, professor of sociology and Glasscock University Professor in Undergraduate Teaching Excellence in the College of Liberal Arts, have been named recipients of the 2017 Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence Award.
3. Texas Congressman Flores Shares Leadership Lessons In Bush School Seminar
Texas Rep. Bill Flores traded his seat in the US House of Representatives for a seat at the head of an Aggie classroom recently as he led a seminar of homeland security graduate students at the Bush School. What he had to tell them focused primarily on lessons about leadership and management.
