KBTX • Feb 27, 2026A father’s health before conception could determine his child’s lifelong health outcomes, according to research from Texas A&M University that challenges the singular focus on maternal health.
Oil markets reacted immediately. Raymond Robertson, an economist with Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government and Public Service, said U.S. oil prices jumped 7.5% on day one, with European prices climbing even higher. “Gas prices don’t jump right away, but they do start climbing in about a week or two after the shock,” Robertson said. “If the conflict continues, we might start to see increases at the pump.”
Larry Stein, Professor & Extension Specialist at the Texas A&M Agrilife Research and Extension Center, said the key to bluebonnets blooming is water and warm temperatures. “But the key for the flower production going forward is going to be the water and, of course, the warmth,” Stein said.
