1. Constitution Day & Citizenship Week Sept. 16-24

In honor of the 230th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787, Texas A&M University is joining thousands of citizens, teachers, and students nationwide in celebrating Constitution Day and Citizenship Week.

2. Bush School To Begin New “What’s Next?” Series With Hurricane Harvey Discussion

Presented by the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government and Public Service, a new series called “What’s Next?” aims to answer that question by addressing the major events and issues that grab our attention. The first program in this series will be “Hurricane Harvey: The Road to Recovery” which will be held Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Memorial Student Center, Room 2401, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

 

3. Texas A&M University Opens Fund For Aggies Affected By Hurricane Harvey

Texas A&M University has announced a student and employee disaster relief fund to help with small-but-essential, one-time immediate needs. The university is calling on the power of the Aggie Network to assist by contributing to the fund to help fellow Aggies.

4. Study Abroad Fair Set For Sept. 20

The Study Abroad Fair brings together colleges, faculty, and affiliated providers to showcase the many opportunities available to study, intern, research, and volunteer abroad.

5. Rainfall From Harvey Shattered Every Record

Hurricane Harvey was billed as a once-in-every-500-year event, and it more than lived up to its billing. It produced rainfall amounts that will re-write the weather books in Texas and the United States, says a Texas A&M University expert.
