Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference Week Under Way
The annual event provides students with the opportunity to enhance their leadership and professional skills.
Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference (SBSLC) Week is under way, featuring a variety of virtual events designed to further students’ leadership and professional skills. The week’s events are in a virtual format this year due to health concerns.
“The events of SBSLC Week are important because they allow student support and involvement in the organization,” said Nick Harris ’20, program advisor, Department of Multicultural Services. “SBSLC week allows students across campus to learn more about our organization and get more information about the annual conference. We host professional development events as well as social activities for students to get to know our organization as well as our executive staff members better.”

“SBSLC is a great organization for students wanting to gain professional experience and event planning experience,” Harris said. “All parts of the conference will be delivered virtually this year so it is an excellent opportunity to see the behind the scenes planning and execution of such a large conference.
