Brig. Gen. Patrick Michaelis ’93 brings a wealth of experience as 46th commandant of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.

Gen. Eric Smith ’87 has been tapped to serve as the branch’s next commandant, overseeing roughly 200,000 active duty and reserve personnel.

Cadet Theodore Neal ’26 of Baytown, Texas, will serve as the primary caretaker for the university’s mascot.

All are invited on April 15 to enjoy traditional Aggie songs, spirituals and an ’80s rock medley performed by talented Aggie singers.

Twelve students representing four states and nine Texas cities will assume senior leadership roles in the Corps of Cadets next year.

The team of freshman cadets dominated in nearly every category of the competition, winning three out of the five events.
