A new scholarship will support minority and underrepresented students in food science.

The Boot Scholarship is awarded to cadets of Hispanic heritage who have excelled academically, served in leadership roles and are actively involved on campus.

Says one donor: “We want future generations to enjoy the same Aggie experience we did."

The awards rank Texas A&M No. 1 in Texas in the number of National Merit Scholars and No.7 nationally.

The $15,000 scholarships honor the brightest students in the STEM fields.
