The student-organized service project mobilized more than 16,000 participants to complete jobs across Bryan-College Station ranging from yard work to home repairs.

Texas A&M students completed service projects at 2,000 locations across Bryan-College Station this year.

Danny Stribling of College Station has participated in the Texas A&M service project since 1982, its inaugural year.

The kickoff event will feature Texas A&M Head Football Coach Jimbo Fisher and the Yell Leaders.

The service project, canceled last spring due to the pandemic, will resume Saturday with more than 10,000 volunteers and modifications for COVID-19 safety.

A date for the day-of-service event is forthcoming.

Several Texas A&M student organizations have teamed up to collect supplies for victims of Hurricane Laura and Tropical Storm Beta.

The day of service will not be rescheduled for 2020.

Texas A&M President Michael K. Young and Zachry Group CEO John B. Zachry will deliver remarks to kick off a day of service March 30.

More Aggies will have an opportunity to take part in the largest one-day, student-led service project in the nation.
