Texas A&M’s KAMU Public Broadcasting Station To Air ‘Home for the Holidays’
The performances will feature Texas A&M Choral Activities and a 2019 performance of 'The Nutcracker' By Ballet Brazos.

Texas A&M University’s public broadcasting station KAMU-TV/FM will present “Home for the Holidays” featuring the university’s three choral groups, as well as a re-airing of the 2019 performance of “The Nutcracker” by Ballet Brazos.
The Texas A&M Department of Choral Activities will perform a selection of pieces at First Presbyterian Church in Bryan that will be recorded for later airing. Health and safety measures, including mask-wearing and social distancing, will be in place to protect all participants.
The choral program will feature The Singing Cadets, The Century Singers and The Women’s Chorus separately performing a variety of pieces, culminating in a combined Grand Choir singing the “Hallelujah Chorus.”
The special will also feature Ballet Brazos with its 2019 presentation of “The Nutcracker.” The ballet will include guest dancers from the New York City Ballet as well as students from many of the dance companies in the Brazos Valley. Ballet Brazos is a non-profit civic ballet offering area dancers and audiences the opportunity to experience classical ballet performances.
“Home for the Holidays is our gift to Aggies and the local community since many of our area’s usual holiday events have been cancelled due to the pandemic,” said Douglas Walker, KAMU executive director. “We hope our viewers and listeners will enjoy these performances and we are happy to be able to provide this uplifting service to our community.”
