Texas A&M University and the Seattle Seahawks have reached a new license agreement regarding the university’s 12th Man trademark—with new stipulations regarding the use of “12th Man” by the NFL football franchise.

Woodward, who currently serves as Director of Athletics at the University of Washington, will succeed Eric Hyman, who announced earlier this week that he was stepping down from the post that he has held since 2012.

The redshirt freshman winning the prestigious trophy produced more than 1.8 million media impressions, which translates into $37 million in media exposure for Texas A&M.
